Kathmandu: On the occasion of Christmas Day, President Ramchandra Paudel and Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav extended warm wishes for happiness, peace, and good health to all Christians.
President Paudel's message emphasized that the festival would contribute to strengthening national unity, promoting mutual goodwill, tolerance, and solidarity among diverse cultural and religious identities.
Vice President Yadav regarded Christmas as a social and cultural celebration, expressing confidence that it would foster unity among communities with diverse cultural backgrounds. He highlighted the festival's role in promoting a sense of unity among diverse communities.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' also conveyed his best wishes to Christian communities in the country and abroad. PM Dahal expressed belief that Christmas would enhance national unity, religious tolerance, and social harmony. He emphasized the common responsibility to promote unity and tolerance across diverse aspects like caste, culture, religion, language, and communities.
PM Dahal acknowledged the multicultural diversity incorporated into Nepal's constitution and called for collective efforts to strengthen unity and tolerance. He also reflected on the impact of globalization, fostering connectivity and assimilation across the globe. The Prime Minister wished Christmas to break narrow thoughts and inspire collective efforts for national interest and human welfare.
